Update on Dressage Lessons
Ailsa Gilchrist at Sandyflats
Ailsa will be teaching at Sandyflats on the following dates (up to Christmas - Spring dates will be in the next newsletter):-
31st October, 14th & 21st November, 5th, 19th & 22nd December (all Saturday apart from 22nd December). The lessons are ¾ hour and cost £30.50 for SDG members.
Paul Hughes - Guest Instructor from down south
Paul was based with Olympic judge/trainer Steven Clarke for 5 years and has also trained with many other top trainers both from the UK and abroad. He has successfully trained and competed several horses up to and including Intermediate II level. He currently has 3 German horses of his own (Oldenburg and Hanoverian) working at levels from Advanced Medium to Intermediate II. He also trains and compete horses for clients at all levels from Novice to Intermediate II.
Lessons will be on Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th October at Sandyflats - mainly during the day, but some evening sessions might be available on Monday.
Lessons will be £50 to SDG members and £55 to non members

Lauren O’Hagan, Scottish Regional Medium Restricted Champion 2009, has recently relocated to Scotland and is available for schooling. Formerly head girl to Judy Harvey and Laura Fry, Lauren currently trains with Erik Theilgaard. Debbie Rodwell is a BHS II and can regularly be seen out competing in dressage and British Eventing horse trials on her horse Gairloch Bay (Duncan) with whom she has had regular successes. She runs a livery and schooling yard near Gateside, Beith where she specialises in backing and bringing on horses and ponies. Debbie regularly teaches riders of all levels either at her yard or theirs. SDG schooling with Debbie is at her yard, Tandleview, Gateside by Beith. Cost is £20.50 per 45 minutes. Linda Barnes BA (Hons) Equine Studies, is an EFI level 1 accredited coach, UKCC level 2 coach, BD trainee judge. She is winner of various classes up to Medium level at Scottish Regional Championships, Scottish Winter Championships, Scottish Championships, Scottish Farmer Series Championships and placed at BD National Championships and National Winter Championships riding the late stallion The Do-Ron. She qualified for Young Horse National Finals for 4,5 and 6 year old BD Potential International Dressage Horse with current horse Veni Vidi Vici. Linda has been coaching for over a year up to elementary level and particularly enjoys encouraging nervous or novice riders to have a try!
